AccountMate 6.0 for SQL and MSDE - Pricing Control

If you resell inventory and you need the ability to set up a complex pricing structure easily and quickly, the AccountMate 6.0’s Pricing Control module is an excellent tool to have on hand. The module’s features include price maintenance in one menu location, unlimited simultaneous pricing by quantity and price code, the ability to set up minimum prices for inventory items and a customer price paid default option. The module is also ideal for making quick and easy changes to inventory prices without spending hours on data entry. Pricing Control is integrated with Sales Order, Accounts Receivable and Inventory Control.

Establish a Multi-Tiered Pricing Structure in One Easy-to-use Location

Users can now create Unit and Multi-Level prices in one location, Inventory Basic Price Maintenance. This feature allows you to establish Unit and Basic prices and unlimited Multi-Level prices by Price Code and Quantity for inventory items.

Create Inventory Minimum Selling Prices

Three Minimum Price Types are available with this module. You establish the selling criterion to be Percentage Above Cost, Fixed Amount Above Cost or Fixed Amount. This feature helps to ensure that you will maintain a minimum margin on the goods you sell.

Pre-defined Unit-of-Measurement for Each Inventory Item

You can designate a specific unit-of-measurement for each item specification code. This means you won’t sell items in a unit-of-measurement that you don’t actually have on-hand.

Current Customer Price Feature

This feature allows you to specify that either the Last Sales Order Price or the Last Invoice Price will remain in effect for a particular customer for a specified number of days. When a sales order is created or invoice is generated, the last price paid will automatically be selected as the default price for the customer. This feature is most beneficial when you have a varying pricing structure for certain customers. The feature is easily accessed in Accounts Receivable or Sales Order Module Setup.

Pricing Control Integration with Inventory Item Specification

When the Pricing Control features are integrated with the Inventory Item Specification module’s powerful features, you can create a multi-layered pricing structure by Inventory Types and Codes, such as size and color. The Pricing Control and Inventory Item Specification modules work hand-in-hand to provide inventory and pricing structures customized to your particular needs.

Update Prices Using Specific Criteria

You can choose to have the system update the Unit Price, Basic Price, Multi-Level Price by Price Code or Multi-Level Price by Sales Order Quantity. This feature allows you to truly customize price changes. You can update prices by a selected percentage or a flat amount. You can base the new price on the current sale price or the average cost in selected warehouse locations.

Pricing Control Reporting Features

You can run several reports that will give you valuable information regarding the enhanced pricing structure available with Pricing Control:

  • The Inventory Price Listing is a valuable tool for reviewing prices at the beginning of the pricing structure process, including Unit Prices and Last Sale Price.
  • The Inventory Multi-Level Price Listing is an excellent tool to use at the end of the pricing structure process. The report lists the Unit Price as well as any associated Price Codes or quantity discount levels and Item Specifications set up for the inventory item.
  • The Multi-Currency Price Listing summarizes inventory items which currency structures are different from the home currency.

Integration of Pricing Control with Sales Order, Accounts Receivable and Inventory Control

  • Integration with the Sales Order module allows use of the Current Customer Price Based On and Minimum Price features during the sales order process.
  • Integration with the Accounts Receivable module allows use of the Current Customer Price Based On and Minimum Price features while creating regular invoices and when generating recurring invoices.
  • Integration with the Inventory Control module allows the user to update all the price types created in Pricing Control, including Unit Price, Basic Price and multi-level prices by Price Code and Sales Order Quantity.
  • All three modules (Sales Order, Accounts Receivable and Inventory Control) allow access to the most powerful feature of Pricing Control - Inventory Basic Price Maintenance. This enables you to quickly serve customer needs without a lengthy search for information.

Other Features

  • Multiple levels of drill-down are available on all major fields.
  • Lookup windows are available in numerous fields, as with all AccountMate 6.0 modules.
  • Inventory Basic Price Maintenance can be accessed through its own menu option or directly through Inventory Maintenance while creating the inventory item.
  • Bar Codes can be used when creating prices in Inventory Basic Price Maintenance.
