Price Control Module
Establish a Multi-Tiered Pricing Structure
in One Easy-to-use Location
Users can now create Unit and Multi-Level
prices in one location. This feature allows you to establish Unit
and Basic prices, and unlimited Multi- Level prices by Price Code
and Quantity.
Create Inventory Minimum Selling Prices
Three Minimum Price Types are available with this module. You can
select to establish the selling criterion to be Percentage Above Cost,
Fixed Amount Above Cost or Fixed Amount. This feature helps ensure
that you will maintain a minimum margin on the goods you sell. Pre-defined
Unit-of- Measurement for Each Inventory Item You can designate a specific
unit-of-measurement for each item specification code. This means you
won't sell items in a unit-ofmeasurement that you don't actually have
on hand.
Current Customer Price Feature
This feature allows you to specify that either the Last Sales Order
Price or the Last Invoice Price will remain in effect for a particular
customer for a specified number of days. When a sales order or invoice
is created, the last price paid will automatically be selected as
the default price for the customer. This feature is most beneficial
when you have a varying pricing structure for certain customers. The
feature is easily accessed from within Accounts Receivable or Sales
Order Module Setup.
Update Prices Using Specific Criteria
You can choose to have the system update the Unit Price, Basic Price,
Multi-Level Price by Price Code or Multi-Level Price by Sales Order
Quantity. This feature allows you to truly customize price changes.
You can update prices by a selected percentage or a flat amount. You
can base the new price on the current sale price or the average cost
in selected warehouse locations.
Pricing Control Reporting Features
Several reports are available that will provide you with valuable
information regarding the enhanced pricing structure available with
Pricing Control:
- The Inventory Price Listing is a valuable tool for reviewing
prices at the beginning of the pricing structure process, including
Unit Prices and Last Sale Price.
- The Inventory Multi-Level Price Listing is an excellent tool
to use at the end of the pricing structure process. The report
lists the Unit Price as well as any associated Price Codes or
quantity discount levels and Item Specifications set up for the
inventory item.
- The Multi-Currency Price Listing summarizes inventory items
which currency structures are different from the home currency.
