Installation File Contents
The AccountMate 6.5 for LAN, Build LN601, Service Pack 1 contains the following components:
· System Manager Executable Files
· AccountMate Online Help File
Installation Guide
The installation process is self-explanatory. Follow the InstallShield wizard which will guide you through the process.
IMPORTANT:
The AccountMate 6.5 for LAN, Build LN601, Service Pack 1 Setup will NOT continue if the following conditions are present:
- The computer where you want to install AccountMate 6.5 for LAN, Build LN601, Service Pack 1 does not have an existing AccountMate 6.5 for LAN, Build LN601 installation or
- AccountMate 6.5 for LAN, Build LN601 program is running.
Important Changes
This Service Pack addresses only one(1) issue. Refer to Control # 10007903 on the AccountMate Knowledge Base at http://www.accountmate.com/businesspartner/websearch/ for more details.
Resolving Conflict With Microsoft Windows Security Update (KB896358).
After installing Microsoft Windows Security Update (KB896358), pressing the <F1> key will bring up the AccountMate Online Help but the topic page displays the following message:
Action canceled
Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable.
This issue is encountered when the AccountMate program is accessed from the File Server across the network. The following OS versions are affected: Windows 98, ME, 2000, 2003 and XP. Refer to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896358 on the Microsoft website for more details.
To correct this behavior, the AccountMate Online Help file (AMW.CHM) will now be installed on the local workstation. AccountMate will open the local copy of the Online Help when a user presses the <F1> key.
How to Determine If You Need This Service Pack
1. Access the Add or Remove Programs function from the Control Panel.
2. Mark the "Show Updates" checkbox as shown below.
3. Scroll down the list of programs and updates and locate Security Update for Windows (KB896358) under the Windows Software Updates group.
If you find Security Update for Windows (KB896358) among your Windows Software Updates, you need to install this Service Pack.
