Installation File Contents

The AccountMate 6.5 for SQL (Build MS607a, Service Pack 1) contains the following components:

·    System Manager Executable Files

·    AccountMate Online Help File

 

Installation Guide

The installation process is self-explanatory. Follow the InstallShield wizard which will guide you through the process.

 

IMPORTANT:

The AccountMate 6.5 for SQL (Build MS607a, Service Pack 1) Setup will NOT continue if the following conditions are present:

• The computer where you wish to install AccountMate 6.5 for SQL (Build MS607a, Service Pack 1) does not have an existing AccountMate 6.5 for SQL (Build MS607a) installation or
• AccountMate 6.5 for SQL (Build MS607a) program is running.

 

Important Changes

This Service Pack addresses only one (1) issue. Only users of AccountMate 6.5 for SQL (Build MS607a) who work with multiple companies in the General Ledger module may experience this issue. Refer to Control # 10008086 on the AccountMate Knowledge Base at http://www.accountmate.com/businesspartner/websearch/ for more details.

We have changed the system manager to prevent an issue that may happen when switching companies in the General Ledger module.

The problem will be exhibited only if events occur in this specific sequence:

1. Launch AccountMate 6.5 for SQL (Build MS607a).

2. Select a company (e.g., “Company X”)

3. Preview the Balance Sheet.

4. Take note of a GL Account ID that exists in this company’s Chart of Accounts but not in any other company.

5. Select another company (e.g., “Company Y”).

6. Preview the Balance Sheet again.

7. Note that the Balance Sheet is from the first company as shown by the presence of the unique GL Account ID.

 

It has been verified that users running lower builds will not experience this issue.
