AccountMate Certified as "Green" Company by
the Bay Area Economic Development Board
PETALUMA, CA (June 23, 2008) -
AccountMate
Software Corporation's President and CEO, David Dierke,
accepted a Certificate of Compliance for the company's
commitment to 'green' initiatives at their workplace. It was
presented by the Sonoma County Economic Development
Board who had physically inspected AccountMate's local
Petaluma offices, its premises, processes and overall
environmental impact before making the award
presentation.
This San Francisco Bay Area Green Business Program
Certificate acknowledges that AccountMate has taken
steps beyond compliance toward conserving resources
and protecting the environment. David Dierke stated, "I'm
very proud of our company's accomplishment in earning
this recognition and feel good knowing AccountMate is
doing its part in making the world a better place for future
generations."
He and his two partners feel strongly that AccountMate
has a responsibility as an employer and a manufacturer
to do their part regarding sustainability issues as there is
an impact on a local level which rolls up to a global scale.
Mr. Dierke says that he is "proud to share the fact that
our new company headquarters was designed with
'green' in mind from the ground up. It incorporates many
of the latest products and design concepts that reduce
our overall energy consumption while promoting a
healthier overall work environment for our employees."
Green Business Program standards must be met in four
areas before a company can be certified. These areas are:
Water Conservation, Energy Conservation, Solid Waste
Reduction & Recycling and Pollution Prevention.
